Prevention Gaps

After conducting over 50 key stakeholder interviews with experts implementing SV/DV prevention strategies in and through sport, Raliance was able to create a visual representation of gaps in SV/DV prevention across the sport pipeline. The Prevention Gap table shows the number of SV/DV prevention strategies for youth-age, high school-age, college-age, and professional-level at the national, state, and local level.

Use the Prevention Database to find where and what SV/DV strategies are currently needed in the sport by clicking one of the options under “Prevention Gaps” in the main menu!

About National, State, and Local distinctions:

The Prevention Gaps table is broken into National, State, and Local levels to show the number of strategies being implemented at each of these levels specifically across the Sport Pipeline (across youth-age, high school-age, college-age, and professional-age).

National – These strategies are being implemented by national SV/DV organizations, national sport leagues or organizations, national sport associations, or other groups in multiple sites across the U.S to prevent SV/DV across the sport pipeline.

State – These strategies are being implemented by state-level SV/DV organizations, state sport leagues, associations or organizations, or other state groups in multiple sites in a particular state or region to prevent SV/DV across the sport pipeline.

Local – These strategies are being implemented by local SV/DV organizations, local sport leagues, organizations or teams, or other local groups in at least one site in that community to prevent SV/DV across the sport pipeline.
