DC Rape Crisis Center & Black Latinidad
Collaborate with Black Latinidad to conduct a needs assessment of adult survivors of child sexual abuse in Black Diasporic Communities, provide training and assistance, and hold a Black Diasporic Policy Roundtable on Child Sexual Abuse to identify the urgent and unmet needs faced by children, youth, families, and adult survivors impacted by CSA across Black Diasporic communities and explore long-term strategies for addressing CSA.
Collaborated with Black Latinidad and several organizations such as CASA to conduct a needs assessment of adult survivors of child sexual abuse in Black Diasporic Communities and conduct listening circles in 4 cities: Miami, New York City, Chicago and DC.
Hosted a learning circle at the Latina Institute at CASA. The project also hosted a Black Diasporic Policy Roundtable on CSA.
One of the goals of the project is to develop a network of Black Diasporic survivors and allies to end child sexual abuse.
The project developed a Black specific training tool for national and local communities.
