    Educate & Train

Hosted 9 workshops (goal of 10) and 7 cinema forums (goal of 5) to university athletes and students to prevent dating and sexual violence by changing sports cultural norms. Some 200 athletes were trained and 519 people (goal of 125) were reached via cinema forums.

Trained 3 staff per universuty at each cinema forum and workshop for a total of 20 personnel plus 24 adittional participants (goal 30).

The impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria on Puerto Rico required significant adjustments. Many students left the island and the vast majority had several months without electricity or transportation. These situations affected the academic performance and the emotional state of many athletes, professors and students. Also universities were force to modify their academic calendars, which included more hours of study in a shorter semester. To adjust, the project sought to create other techniques for workshops and activities coordination.
