RALIANCE Statement on Protecting Survivors’ Privacy

Survivors should always have the option to make decisions about whether, when, and where to report incidents of abuse.

RALIANCE is deeply concerned that survivors’ rights to privacy may be in jeopardy with the decision to penalize Uber for not disclosing the names, contact information, and other private and sensitive information of sexual assault survivors sought by the California Public Utilities Commission.
