May 6, 2024 – Following the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) publishing final guidance on harassment in the workplace, RALIANCE issued the following statement.

“RALIANCE welcomes EEOC’s new guidance on workplace harassment and commends the EEOC for taking this much needed step to protect all workers, including transgender and nonbinary employees. If we want to solve the problems of sexual harassment, misconduct and abuse, it is crucial to address the gender inequalities and power imbalances that enable it to happen. This new guidance is a critical step forward in modernizing workplace policies to address systemic harassment. It also underscores the important role that implementation and training play in fostering safe, equitable and respectful workplaces. RALIANCE is committed to partnering with organizations interested in improving their workplace cultures, and is hopeful that this guidance will help organizations across sectors to create positive and inclusive environments for all.”
